NMMS Exam 2024 : NMMS Exam Notification 2024 Apply Online sebexam.org Exam Syllabus, Merit List . A scheme called National Means Come Merit Scholarship (N.M.M.S) for students studying in class 8 with the aim of enabling bright students from poor economic status in the state to complete their studies up to class-12 and to reduce the drop out rate in secondary and higher secondary schools from MHRD, NEW DILHI has been implemented. Examination to select the beneficiary students will be conducted by the State Examination Board, Gandhinagar soon.

What is Gujarat NMMS Scholarship?

The Ministry of Education has implemented a scheme called National Means Cum Merit Scholarship (NMMS) for the students studying in Class-8 in order to enable bright students with poor economic conditions to study up to Class-12 and to reduce the drop-out rate.

Eligibility for NMMS Exam 2024

Student should be a native of Gujarat state.
Students studying in Class-8 in Government Primary Schools, Local Body Schools, Zilla Panchayat Schools, Municipal Schools, Municipal Schools and Granted Primary Schools are eligible for this scholarship.
General category and OBC category student should have secured minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade in class-7.
A student belonging to SC and ST category should have secured at least 50% marks or equivalent grade in class-7.
Students studying in private schools, Kendriya Vidyalayas, Jawahar Navodaya School and schools where boarding, dining and study services are provided will not be able to fill the form for this scholarship.

Aadhaar proofs have to be attached with the online filled application form.

Currency of Fee Payment (For SEB only)
Attested copy of the annual income statement of the beneficiary student’s family.
Mark sheet of the student of class-7 or its equivalent basis.
Copy of Student’s Gender Certificate (if applicable)
Disability certificate if the student is disabled (if applicable)

Income limit

The annual income of the parent of the student should not exceed 3,50,000/-. And the student has to attach the copy of competent authority.

Gujarat NMMS Scholarship 2024 Merit Calculation

General category and OBC category students have to obtain 40% marks in aggregate in both sections and SC-ST category students have to obtain 32% marks in aggregate in both sections.

Among the students who have secured the qualifying marks, only the students who fall in the merit as per the district wise – category wise quota will be considered eligible for the scholarship.
